Nikon Finalist

Nikon Finalist

Last Month i joined the contest of Nikon "I am A Movement". From more than 400 photos came and selected from different GCC countries my picture managed to be chosen as one of 100 finalist. Unfortunately it didn't win any awards but being a finalist in this photo contest is a big win for me. I will try to take better and daring picture next time.I'm not hoping to win any major awards i just want to follow my hobby and passion in taking good pictures which inspire me everyday.

While walking the coast of Jumeirah in Dubai, i managed to snapshot this guy enjoying his kayaking in early morning which for me is a good form of exercise, This is where i got the idea of joining the Dragon Warriors Dubai thru a very good friend and a brother to me, Jan Michael T.

Every time I'm feeling lonely or just wanna be alone I'll go to this quiet place and enjoying the hot air that embracing my body, the sweet smell of the sea which soothes my inner body and the minimal clutters which allowed me to see from the beyond.

A Rocker named Rico Blanco

Rico was one of the founding members of Filipino rock band Rivermaya, in varying roles as vocalistkeyboardistguitarist, and main songwriterfrom 1993 to 2007.

Aside from his songwriter credits in his solo album and in Rivermaya, Blanco also arranged and wrote music for various side projects such as the United Nations MDG theme "Tayo Tayo Rin", The Philippine Department of Tourism theme "Biyahe Tayo" (both of which were performed by veteran Filipino musicians, such as Freddie Aguilar, The Apo Hiking Society, Lea Salonga, and Sharon Cuneta). He also co-wrote a theme song for the Southeast Asian Games, "Posible".

Rico Blanco is also a stage, film, and television actor. He starred in ABS-CBNs Imortal alongside John Loyd Cruz and Angel Locsin, and May Isang Pangarap alongside Carmina Villaroel and Vina Morales. He also starred alongside Noel Cabangon and Joey Ayala in the Music Museum and 1970s Bistro production of Jesus Christ Superstar and also starred alongside Epy Quizon and Christopher de Leon in the independent filmNasaan si Francis?. He also directed several music videos, won an award for his work as advertising musical arranger. Blanco also dabbles in painting and photography.

In May 2007, Blanco announced his departure from Rivermaya. His last performance with Rivermaya was on May 4, 2007 at the Metro Bar (wherein two other high profile Filipino bands opened the show, Pupil and Sandwich; two spin-off bands of the legendary pop-rock groupEraserheads). It was coincidental that Rico’s first gig as singer for Rivermaya was also held at the Metro Bar (formerly known as "Kampo"). Furthermore, first ever Rivermaya gig (where Blanco was keyboardist) was in Las PiƱas City in 1993 where the band was the opening act forEraserheads.
